Trying new healthy and cheap options

Carrots, boiled eggs and peanut butter and celery have been a hit with the kids.

Kia Ora whānau

Kia Ora whānau.
This week we are learning about healthy lunch boxes. I have taken care on how to best present this kaupapa with tamariki. All options that I will be sharing have been priced from our local countdown stores. I will only be presenting them with affordable options. Food ideas are either a similar price to packaged food or cheaper. We are promoting healthy and non packaged  kai, and using positive ideas rather than judging other lunch boxes. Mauri Ora whānau

Looking after Pāpātuānuku.

The tamariki have been very concerned about looking after Pāpātuānuku. Today we collected up our glad wrap. We were shocked! We are hoping to collect in our glad wrap for this week and next week. We are hoping to reduce our packaging and glad wrap in lunches. We are looking at the cheaper option of lunch paper or reusable containers
